WWF Footprint Calculator featured on BBC2's, 'It's not easy being green'
The Torchbox built, WWF Footprint calculator is now a weekly star on the third series of the prime-time BBC2 show.

It's great to see our clients work in the news - unless it's negative coverage about recycling of course, which, incidentally, you should absolutely keep doing until you receive clear direction otherwise from your local authority or RecycleNow. And, it's especially great seeing the WWF Footprint Calculator on BBC2's "It's not easy being green".
The green lifestyle show, presented by the impressively moustached, Dick Strawbridge, has chosen WWF's Footprint Calculator over the myriad competition. 'It's not easy being green' is using the footprint calculator to measure the ecological impact of Dick and his celebrity guests each week.
In last week's show, Dick's footprint was found to be 2.4 planets (i.e. he's using 2.4 times as much of the earth's resources as he would be, were he living sustainably), and his guest, the ex-cricketer Phil Tuffnel's was 3.97 planets. What Dick didn't mention is that one of these planets comes down to each person's share of what we as a country use (infrastructure, NHS, the army etc.), so his 2.4 isn't too bad.
Tuffers' 3.97 is not good, although it wasn't as bad as i expected either, given that he flew to and from Cornwall for the show. Perhaps he gave himself the benefit of the doubt with some questions, I wonder?
Dick gave him a fairly hard time though, the athletes' "laugh it off' approach to his footprint, didn't deter the doughty Strawbridge, who, to Tuffers' predictable excuse 'it's not easy being green' shot back 'well, it's not that hard".
Will we see a transformation in Tuffers? Is this 'good time charlie' - I once witnessed him consuming whatever he could get his hands on at a student party (he was playing for Middlesex against Oxford University at the time) - ready to 'hair-shirt' himself, or even cut down on his flights? Perhaps not, but the good news is that traffic on the Footprint calculator soared after the show, and if you haven't done it yet, now's the time.
Watch last week's show on iplayer or next week's on BBC2, Wednesdays at 8pm.
