Harold's Planet
Relationship
Last Lemon produce several cartoon strips, the oldest and best known of which is Harold's Planet. As well as the sites, Last Lemon create greeting cards, large prints, have several books in print and are working on a TV adaptation of Harold. The chance to work on new developments for Harold and his friends is always popular amongst Torchbox staff.
Mission
Aside from piping up with the occasional ideas for where the sites of Harold, Epsilon Osborne and the others might go next, we are responsible for coding developments, and keeping things running smoothly. Ralph Lazar and Lisa Swerling of Last Lemon produce the wonderful sites, and Torchbox add the dynamic elements - the card processing and purchasing side of things - and keep the servers ticking along.
Solutions
Linux, PHP, Flash, and MySQL drive the core of the sites, and Harold delivers mailouts to a list of over 30,000 friends. His mate Epsilon is rapidly catching up: Epsilon's graphic cartoons go out in HTML emails every day to his thousands of subscribers.
