A new website for Asthma UK

In March 2006 we launched a new website for Asthma UK, the charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the 5.2 million people in the UK whose lives are affected by asthma.
We're delighted with the site, which builds on Asthma UK's instantly recognisable house style and focusses on the needs of key audience groups: providing authoritative information and advice, encouraging users to get involved in fundraising and volunteering activities, and offering opportunities to gain peer support and share experiences.
The site is powered by RationalMedia and features groundbreaking live integration with Asthma UK's fundraising database, Raiser's Edge, using a Web Services API. Key benefits for users include single sign-on for all website services – membership, forums, mailing list subscriptions and scrapbook – as well as a helpful tool for those 'New to asthma'.
We're also particularly pleased that Asthma UK's vibrant online community have really embraced the new system and made it their own.
