Torchbox has been commissioned to develop a new site to help educate the public about the realities of fundraising and charity administration.

This important initiative, led by Professor Adrian Sargeant – the UK's only Professor of Nonprofit Marketing and Fundraising – aims to counter negative publicity, dispel myths about the ways charities fundraise and how much they spend on fundraising and administration, and offer an authoritative source of information for the public, media and researchers.

The initial development of the site, scheduled for launch on March 18, has been funded by a small group of major UK fundraising charities – Cancer Research UK, NSPCC, British Red Cross and RSPCA – and is endorsed by the UK's profession body for fundraisers, the Institute of Fundraising.
