Redeveloping the POhWER website

Torchbox has been contracted by the advocacy agency, POhWER, to undertake two important projects; the development of a new organisational website, and of a case management system for use by POhWER's advocates.

Torchbox has been tasked with making POhWER’s website more accessible to stakeholders and increasing the flow and sharing of information within the organisation. Torchbox will be implementing RationalMedia to enable all POhWER staff to contribute to the content of the new site.

The case management system, nicknamed CLEAR, will help the advocates report and track each client’s cases. An accompanying offline system will allow the advocates to update records on their laptops while they are out of the office. These changes are then synched with the main database when they log back on.

In addition to servicing POhWER’s traditional advocacy business, CLEAR will also service POhWER’s ICAS service.

POhWER ICAS is an independent body whose role is to offer advocacy support to people who wish to make a complaint about NHS services provided in the East of England area comprising Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
