Bryan Gullan
Bryan is a PRINCE2 Practitioner accredited project manager, and is currently project managing our work with The Health Foundation and BITC , as well as ongoing developments for clients such as Asthma UK and the King's Fund.
Bryan earned his Master of Physics (MPhys) degree at Exeter College, Oxford. His final-year project, "Computer Controlled Demonstrations of Oscillating and Rotating Mechanical Systems", now forms part of the undergraduate physics course; this was accompanied by an instruction manual for technicians and lecturers.
His technical background – with skills including ColdFusion, ASP (VBScript and JScript), SQL and XML – means that, as a project manager, he can marry an understanding of the needs of the client with the issues facing the development team, and offer appropriate solutions.
Past projects include managing the redesign of The Royal Parks website to a very demanding timeline, as well as the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and The Stroke Association site redevelopments.
He brings his experience of writing manuals and tutoring to the preparation of our manuals – both for RationalMedia and bespoke systems - and subsequent client training.
Bryan is also Torchbox's accessibilty lead - go on, test him on Priority 1, 2, and 3 checkpoints from WCAG 1.0 - and a keen advocate of web standards.
